Stars and Stripes card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Stars and Stripes".

Since it is almost 4th of July and the theme is stars and stripes, I went for it. For the background I've used the Crate stencil and Crackle Texture Paste. Don't know what happened, but the last few projects I use Crackle mediums in I get nice crackles... strange, I normally have such ugly crackles! Okay, lets move on...While the Crackle was drying, I gave the resin parts a layer of Gesso.

Professor Gadget card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Transport it".

When I saw the Professor stamp set I immediately wanted it, but it took a while before I finally had it. I had the idea to make him in Professor Gadget, with a propelor from his hat. What a perfect way of transport. Loved the cartoon series Inspector Gadget when I was a kid. But our professor is slightly better with the gadgets, since he invented them ;).

Ancient Greece card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Vacation".

As you know, I love to go on city trips, and then I often visit cities with ancient history. I have only been to Greece once, but the museums I often visit have beautiful ancient Greek statues from. These molds from Prima Marketing remind me of those statues and what a great way to put my two hobbies together in one project.

Crackled Wedding card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Wedding/Anniversaries". And because it's the beginning of the month we're also showcasing, and this time it's Prima Marketing! I just love those products, especially the Finnabair line.

As a said I love Prima Marketing, they have amazing products. As the challenge this week is Wedding, I chose the Pretty Pale Paper Pad to collage with. I had some scraps left from another project I used this gorgeous paper for. After I finished collaging I applied a layer of Distress Crackle Paint Rock Candy. Mine is really fluid and this time I finally got some nice crackles!

Frame it card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Frame it".

Yep, I already warned you, I made another card with resin molds, and it will probably not be the last. This card has become a bit too busy, but it's part of my learning process ;). I framed the card in several ways, using one of the Mechanics elements and building up around it, making a frame around the card with stamps and Embossing Powder, and layering the card and go around it with a White Gelly Rol pen.

Dimentional Stencil card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Use Stencils".

I have got a new addiction, and those are silicone molds. I can't stop making the shapes with those moulds. I find it quite difficult to use them in a project. But with this one  I managed to make a first creation with the Finnabair Cogs and Wings and Mechanica molds. I used resin in the molds, but you could also use paper clay. Just know, these molds are quite sturdy and are quite hard to remove from the molds.

Happy Hour card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Happy Hour".

For this challenge, I was inspired by the Whisper Collectables clock. I wanted to keep it in the vintage style and also the vintage colors. I chose Spun Sugar as the main color, along with some shades of brown. First I applied texture with the Bubble stencil and Texture Paste. And on top of it a layer of Clear Gesso (after the Texture Paste was dry :)).
