Double Tim Fun!

Hi everyone,

When I woke up this morning and I saw that Tim had made his tag of May, I was SO happy. Was looking forward to it for some time now. Since yesterday there is also a new Compendium of Curiosities technique at StudioL3 and this time it's the shattered stains. This time it's sponsered by Simon Says Stamp! Linda says it's a simple technique, but I do not always get the desired result. I think it's because my crackle paint is as thick as jelly! But I used the last bit. I bought the biggest package and I have just checked it and it's perfectly  liquid. I'm hopeful for the next time :).

The crackle paint was not the only issue I had today, I have no melting pot, and I really wanted to do the porcelain technique. So I melted UTEE in a pan on greaseproof paper, and the UTEE burnt a bit! In the pan was some UTEE and it burned into my pan, so I have to throw it away .... NOT be repeated! DON'T try this at home!

Thank you for stopping by! Love to see you next time!

Hugs,
Sandra

I really love this tag! Love the crackled paint effect. I think it turned out really nice. It's such a great contrast with that stamp of the girl.

Love your tag - I like the way you have incorporated both challenges into the one and its very effective and bright isnt it! I have a melt pot but I have heard that you can use a tin foil dish and heat gun (hold the dish with a peg to stop avoid burning your fingers) to melt UTEE too.

Wow! Despite your problems, I am glad you soldiered on with this tag. It is wonderful. Could not resist coming over when I saw the dummy. This has to be my favourite of Tim's die and stamp sets. x

Well your end result is gorgeous! Love that dress form and colors! The entire tag is so luscious! No way to save the pan? What a shame! I have a melt pot, but have yet to play with it! Soon!

Liefs,
Leintje*
