Happy Devilish Halloween card with video tutorial

http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/mondaychallenge/
Hi everyone,

It's Monday and that means a new Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! This week it's all about "Halloween/Spooky".

Because of all my Halloween cards of the last time I had no more spooky inspiration, but fortunately with the help of teammie Marzena (thanks!) I got back my mojo and I managed to make a Halloween card yet again. And it is my favorite so far! I started to make texture with the Mixed Media set and over it I used the Halloween Collage paper. This paper is very fragile and so I've applied a coat of Clear Gesso over it. To give it even more texture, I applied Grit-Paste around the edges. With Distress Oxide Black Soot, Infusions Black Knight and Nuvo Shimmer Storm Cloud I applied a first layer with "color". Then another layer with Infusions Black Knight and Perfect Pearls Forever Red.

I've added the numbers of the Purveryor stamp set with Distress Oxide Fired Brick and Red Embossing Powder. To make some extra red "blood spletters" I created water drops and used Red Embossing Powder. I colored the Drip Edge with Dylusions Spray Postbox Red. This color really looks like blood, if you see it in a tissue, you'd think someone has had a nosebleed. LOL! On the photo and video the color doesn't appear as in real life... I went along the Drips with a Prisma Watercolor Black Pencil and with Distress Crayon Black Soot to create shadow and depth.

It's so much fun to transform everything in Halloween style. Just like this gentleman of the Purveyor stamp set, with some minor adjustments, such as adding horns, goatee, changing the eyebrows and give him pointy ears, it changes him completely into a different person, the devil to be precise, LOL! And of course, the red eyes makes it complete. The horns are made red with Red Embossing Powder. Yep, I had a lot of fun with this one!

This is really cool! I love the black and deep red mix especially the water dots that you covered with embossing powder, they looks so great! I love the way you modified the gentleman into a devil! I haven't seen the horns on the picture! Love how the die pattern is popping up from beneath of the tissue paper and I am honored to can be your inspiration to making your fave card <3 Hugs, Marzena
